What It Is

GetSkin uses the Splendor X laser — a dual-wavelength Alexandrite and Nd:YAG system that's safe and effective for all skin tones, including the darker complexions common in South Florida. The Alexandrite wavelength targets lighter skin efficiently; the Nd:YAG wavelength safely treats darker skin without melanin conflict.

Laser energy targets the melanin (pigment) in each hair follicle, heating and destroying it at the root without affecting surrounding skin. Because hair grows in cycles, a series of 6–8 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart achieves optimal permanent reduction.

Most clients achieve 80–95% permanent hair reduction after a complete series. Touch-up sessions can maintain results indefinitely.

How It Works

1. Consultation & Shave

   Treatment area is shaved the day before. Skin tone and hair type assessed to calibrate the correct wavelength and energy settings.

2. Cooling & Treatment

   Dynamic cooling protects the skin surface as laser pulses target follicles beneath — fast, systematic passes across the area.

3. Follicle Destruction

   Laser energy heats the follicle to the point of permanent damage, preventing future hair growth in that follicle.

4. Post-Care & Schedule

   Treated hairs shed over 1–3 weeks. Next session scheduled 4–6 weeks later to target the next growth cycle.
